About nuttyboomboom

I am a miniature dachshund, I live with Mum & Dad in rural Ayrshire and have a variety of interests including - first and foremost - the sooky (at which I am a bit of an expert), guarding things, squeak toys and cushions. I have an opinion on just about everything and I am a founder member of the Canine Advanced Training Society (CATS) which is a voluntary organisation offering help and advice to other anipals who are demented by stubborn and ill-trained owners.

  1. Very true…My old man was a 2x survivor of cancer and had made it through both times. However, cancer still isn’t something that most people realize pets can be afflicted with unfortunately. Love the awareness post!

  2. My own cat passed away from breast cancer at the end of last summer. I’ve also helped many pets recover from it as well as watched them decline because of it. Love your wig Nutty! Thanks for raising awareness!

Hallo’s Nutties! My 3 babies always talkies to you on facebook. Anyway, My sister’s 2 dogs (Huskies named Ice and Kibibi) died from cancer. Ice died 3 years ago and Kibibi died just over a week ago. I was extremely sad as I loved them very much. I check for lumps and bumps on my pretty 3 babies regularly. I feed them healthy food (home made meat, veggies etc). A lot of these cancers are because of what dogs are eating. This is something that people should be aware of. I tell as many people as I can the risk of cancers in dogs. I have done lots of research also. This is something that should be promoted and people should be made aware of the risks! Thank you for this! Christine
